With thanks to Rich, here is the second draft of his original plan, designed to save the med-men from a huge climb at the end. I think we could maybe drop down a little to Carcassone and then
wind through the Pyrenees Orientales to hit the coast at Argele sur Mer (where there is a lovely camp site!) I've had some feedback from the CTC site suggesting we could pick up a little canal path by skipping over the river east of St malo which woud take us into Rennes, but can't find it on this mapping system.

Next step is to chunk it out into 55 - 70 mile portions?

Problems with Bikebus?

Richard has checked and our nearest date for coming back is..er..the 1st of August! Looked into hiring a car for the 3 returnees one way to Calais - which was £179 for a Kangoo on this site (2 days). Not sure if it's be big enough? As ou fare for the bus was 330 all in, this would seem an OK alternative? Obviously we'd have fares for Calais/dover and back up to Stafford.

Colorado cycle trip

Cycle training in USA

Cycle training in the snow is going well, but up hill is difficult due to lack of wheels and peddles.

Med Men getting themselves ready

It would appear that the med men find it very difficult to meet up together for bike rides! so individually they are busy sorting themselves out.
Dr Jeff is so much in doubt about his fitness for the epic ride that he has sent him self off to the Americas to take to the Hills for some stiff climbing. Mr Dickie has left the Country and headed off to the Southern tip of Europe for Heat awareness training ,which I understand is having a bit of rain at the moment. Mr Kelly is a happy man now he has his accommodation sorted for the trip. Meanwhile I have bought myself a new bike for my birthday, which is supposed to cover the miles more quickly and best of all comes with a view as standard.

Mike solo Market Drayton trip

45 miles approx via High Offley and Cheswardine on the way out and via a couple of miles of sloppy canal and Bishops Offley on the way back. Hard work on one's lonely tod, but fortified by an excellent pint at the Bell, Eccleshall on the return leg. I've got a 'James Penny's house' video but have no clue how to upload!

Tissington en Famille

A day out en Famille on the Tissington Trail, no rain, no punctures, no crashes and some mud.
