Crossed the river Loire, which felt like a big landmark, and climbed up into the hills. Saw our first grape vines and Mr Kelly would have have been happy to stay here for the day, but we'd only
done 10 miles so time to move on.
We stop at a small village cemetery to pay our respects at commonwealth war graves, well Mike and James do, as Jeff has unfortunately cycled ahead and only decides to return after he's climbed a 1 mile 1 in 10. He has his map reading, game face on in the mornings. James pops into his very favourite supermarket in France for the usual cheese, bread and delicious peach/melon lunch provisions.
